Tenancy contracts, viewings and the practicalities of leasing in the UAE.
Tenants need a valid passport copy, UAE residence visa (or entry stamp for new arrivals), Emirates ID, and a salary certificate or trade licence. RAAM handles the Ejari registration and DEWA activation on your behalf.
Standard residential leases run for 12 months and are registered with Ejari. Rent is typically paid in 1 to 4 post-dated cheques. A 5% security deposit (10% for furnished) is held against damages and refunded within 30 days of handover.
